Willow still has a loss of appetite, but Amber…she has a very effective way of making you think she’s starving. Willow’s tactic is to demand food. Loud, demanding meows until you give him what he wants. Not very effective. Amber on the other hand simply looks so pitiful that you think she must be starving! Very effective.
As I said before, Willow is eating on can of wet food a day. We are going to buy Amber some when we go out tomorrow, but for now she is very jealous of Willow. He wasn’t able to finish his canned food, so we set it on the kitchen counter and covered it. It didn’t take long for Amber to jump up. And not just once, but many, many times! We keep a water bottle handy in case she attacks Willow or does something she shouldn’t. When we first got Willow, he learned right away not to do those things. Amber, on the other hand, will run away…and come back ten seconds later! Needless to say, this resulted in a very wet cat. We had just taken fresh cinnamon rolls out of the oven, and I had my eye on Amber. I wouldn’t put it past her to jump on the counter for a quick bite!
Right now she is being mesmerized by a bit of dough (today is baking day) sticking out of the mixer, going around and around in circles, so I don’t need to worry (for now).
Let’s hope the cinnamon rolls stay safe!
